Seattle Times
Sporting Smiles -- a worthwhile cause

By: Jose Romero
"I recently received a nice email from Ian Sarachan, whose father Dave is L.A. Galaxy assistant coach Dave Sarachan. Ian is trying to spread the word about an organization he established about a year ago called "Sporting Smiles," whose mission it is to collect new and used soccer and sporting gear to be donated to "less fortunate" kids around the country and hopefully one day all over the world.
Ian says the web site has soccer memorabilia and t-shirts (coming soon) for sale with 100% of the money going towards purchasing new gear.
I know many of you Seattle soccer fans are a charitable lot, and this is a generous town that loves soccer...so I thought I'd help Ian spread the word."
