About Sporting Smiles
Sporting Smiles, formed in 2008, was created with the simple goal in mind of helping put smiles on children’s faces via sports. Unlike many other organizations Sporting Smiles strives to use sports as an outlet for many kids who may be in tough situations and might not otherwise get the chance to play sports.
What started as a dream has become a reality. Since our founding in 2008, we have had the chance to make many “drops” to various locations around the world. We refer to these donations as “drops” because, like government organizations dropping into countries to provide food and services in times of need, we aim to do this through the use of sports. We may not have the resources to save a whole nation or even a city, but we will do everything in our power to make less fortunate children’s lives more enjoyable by giving them the chance to play sports.
At Sporting Smiles we rely heavily on both product and monetary donations to move along as an organization. As we receive donations we make sure that all of the items donated go to areas where they will be used. When we receive donations in the monetary form, we put 100% of the money towards the organization to either purchase brand new equipment and to fund events where we could receive even more sports equipment. The main goal when it comes to donations, is to make sure that everything we get goes to the kids in one way or another. When you donate to Sporting Smiles we want you to have the peace of mind knowing that your donations has gone to where it was supposed to go.
Although our main goals revolve around the world of sports and how it can have a positive, lasting impact on many children, we also pay close attention to other areas in which we can help around the world. In our ever-changing world the environment has become an extremely hot topic. At Sporting Smiles we promote the use of environmental-friendly products and ways of life. More than anything we are thrilled to have the chance to work with such special kids and hope that whatever role we play in their lives leaves a lasting memory.
